Welcome to the
cecile elstein studio

This website is devoted to the life and work of Cecile Elstein - a prolific and multifaceted artist whose practice spanned sculpture, printmaking, environmental installation, drawing, ceramics, and portraiture. A studio pupil of surrealist artist Catherine Yarrow and a long-term collaborator with master printmaker Kip Gresham, Elstein developed a distinctive body of work rooted in material exploration, philosophical inquiry, and social engagement. She was also a long-standing friend of sculptor Ian Walters.

Here you’ll find a rich archive of Elstein’s work, including ceramics, drawings, prints, portrait bronzes, sculpture for landscape, and video. This site is designed to inform, inspire, and connect those interested in the many dimensions of her legacy.
